Evan Zynda
Senior Innovation Lead, R&D ThermoFisher
Dr. Zynda serves as Senior Innovation Lead in R&D for Cell Culture and Cellular Therapy at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he influences and aligns teams developing cell therapy manufacturing tools. His T cell biology research began in 2005 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where he earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biophysics and Biochemistry. During his 11-year academic career, he investigated how tumor cells evade immune responses to inform new cancer treatments. He now applies this expertise to cell therapy, developing products and processes to expand access to these powerful therapeutic approaches.
Seminars
- Implementing automation-capable manufacturing solutions to reduce operator variability and lower cost of goods while maintaining GMP compliance throughout production
- Deploying flexible GMP reagents for T cell workflows to accommodate emerging requirements and enable process optimization across therapeutic modalities
- Leveraging single-use bioreactor systems designed for cell therapy to standardize culture conditions and facilitate clinical-to-commercial technology transfer
